I have been very blessed to have had a wonderful life. While raising our 2 wonderful daughters; I have been able to devote my time to such things as: Brownie and Girl leader, homeroom mother, Executive Board of the high school drill team, Chairman of decorating/ dance committee, Chairman of the Miss Northbrook Pageant, President of the PTA, Lifetime member of the SBSD PTA. Now with our daughters married, I am busy with many activities. Such as Chairman of the Church Compassionate Ministry, Church Parish Council, Chairman of Church Fundraising and Hospitality. Member of The TBR Book Club, The Sunday Brunch Bunch, The Out-to Dinner group, The Spring Shadows Lunch Bunch, Spring Shadows Women Club, volunteer at the East Spring Branch Food Pantry, volunteer at The gathering Place( Alzheimer’s organization), The Sexy Six(girls or should I say old ladies that have been friends since our kids were in school together, bowling and going to the movies and Theater. We have done some traveling, but only going to Europe once, as I hate to fly. We sold our house on Canyon Lake a few years ago, we just got tired of the 3 hour drive. We can't decide if we are willing to take a chance on buying a beach house or not. Never know how long it will be there. Life is good and very busy! Ron and I are very lucky to have our daughters and their families living close by; so we have been able to fully enjoy our grandchildren and participate in all of their activities. Our oldest granddaughter is a high school teacher. She and her husband both graduated from Texas Tech. Ashley and her husband Kent live in lake Jackson, Texas and have 2 children, Peyton and Connor. Our oldest grandson, Justin graduated from Texas Tech and lives in Austin, Tx. Another granddaughter, Hailey graduated from Texas State and also lives in Austin. The youngest granddaughter is a High School teacher and will be getting married in July, 2023 and youngest grandson will be 17 this summer and is such a joy to our whole family. Don't misunderstand, life has not all been a bed of roses. Like everyone we have had many a heart breaks, as in loss of many of our beloved family members and dear friends. It saddens my heart to see how many of our classmates are gone, especially the ones that were friends of mine.
Ron was diagnosed with a very rare form of melanoma and had to have surgery. We are so fortunate that he was able to be treated at MD Anderson. After his surgery, he has been cancer FREE for 10 years. We are now in the process of completely remodeling and adding on to our home. Hopefully everything will be completed before Thanksgiving.

Hi George, we have lived in Spring Shadows since 1973 when we moved to Houston from San Antonio. Just curious as to where you live now, since you moved from Jersey Village.
Hi Pat. Remember me??
Just wanted to say hi and wish you a Happy Birthday!
My memories of Sylvia are of a girl that was sweet, kind and beautiful both inside and out. I always thought Sophia was the prettiest girl in our class. Thoughts and prayers to her family.
Happy birthday Sharon! Hope you have a wonderful day!
