Traveled with my husband (ret.usaf). Two great children. Moved back to SA in 1975 and have lived in same home since that time. We are both retired and thankful to have each other after all these years.
My wonderful husband, Joseph, passed away this June 2013. I was with him when he passed. He had been ill for several years, and died suddenly in my arms. He is now pain free and I feel him around me everyday.
moved to Austin area 2015. My sister, Betty Fahning McDonald, also in lives Austin. Her three sons, daughter-in-law, and grandson live here. My son and daughter also reside in area.
I loved every minute at Highlands. The Brigade was a lot of fun and they girls were the greatest. After graduation, went straight to work.
Love gardening, birds, butterflies, pets and nature, old movies, dishing with my sister Betty Fahning McDonald (married to Roy L McDonald (deceased). They both graduated from Highlands. Joe and I love to travel. Guess I am by nature a home body...really love my home and husband and children

So sorry for your loss. I did not know him very well, but I always thought well of him.
I know he will be missed.
Looking forward to Presidential confirmation, looking good for democrats! It's been a stressful November so far. Hope no toes have been stepped on!

Hope your finally settled into new home in Selma. Weather hasn't been our usual Texas winter this year. Big change from Nevada and Hawaii, huh? We had fun at my 75th birthday last June. First time I had seen you since 1962!
Happy early birthday wishes....party at least a week...that's my m.o. eat cake!!!!!!
Happy Birthday!! Being 70 is not so bad, especially when we have so much to be thankful for. I am also active in my church and my faith and the fellowship has helped me deal with the loss of my husband of 47 years in 2013.

Happy birthday! Didn't know you in high school, but am glad you have had such a good life!
Your post was a riot...I thought I was the only crazy dater back then...thank heavens I calmed down a little before I met Joe. We were married 46 1/2 years before he passed last year. So sorry you lost your husband ...its a little rough to lose your partner at any time, but I still wish I could just talk to him. My mom was fighting cancer during my high school years and was unable to do much back then and passed a week after I graduated.
So she was not your girl scout leader....but I bet your were a top notch scout!!! Loved hearing from you!
I am so sorry I didn't get my birthday wishes to you...I do hope it was a nice one ...I turn 70 June 5th....Friends and family have asked me how it feels ...I can only say I feel no different and feel very fit and able. Hope you are well also.
OOPS!! Sorry this is late! I know your birthday was delightful...Have a wonderful Mother"s Day, as well!!
